Journal ArticleDOI

Cliff-like conduction band offset and KCN-induced recombination barrier enhancement at the CdS/Cu2ZnSnS4 thin-film solar cell heterojunction

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of a KCN etch of the CZTS absorber prior to CdS deposition on the band alignment at the respective interface were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energetics of excited states in the conjugated polymer poly(3-hexylthiophene)

TL;DR: In this paper, the energy levels involved in photogeneration and charge transport within conjugated polymers are investigated. But the authors focus on a specific case of poly(3-hexylthiophene) and do not consider the general applicability of their approach.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of transport levels of organic semiconductors by UPS and IPS

TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive discussion on the determination of transport levels of organic semiconductors using a combination of UV and inverse photoemission spectroscopies (UPS and IPS, respectively) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of KCN etching on the chemical and electronic surface structure of Cu2ZnSnS4 thin-film solar cell absorbers

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical and electronic surface structure of thin-filmsolar cell absorbers has been investigated by direct and inverse photoemission, with particular emphasis on the impact of KCN etching, which significantly alters the surface composition and is best explained by a preferred etching of Cu and, to a lesser degree, Sn.
