The Raman spectrometer onboard the MMX rover for Phobos
Till Hagelschuer,Tomás Belenguer,Ute Böttger,Maximilian Buder,Yuichiro Cho,Enrico Dietz,Michael Gensch,Franziska Hanke,H.-W. Hübers,Shingo Kameda,Emanuel Kopp,Simon Kubitza,Andoni Moral,Carsten Paproth,Martin Pertenais,Gisbert Peter,Kristin Rammelkamp,Pablo Rodriguez,Fernando Rull,Conor Ryan,Thomas Säuberlich,Friedrich Schrandt,Susanne Schröder,Stephan Ulamec,Tomohiro Usui,Roderick Vance +25 more
TL;DR: The Raman spectrometer onboard the rover which will be part of JAXA's Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission, to be launched in 2024, is presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Decay of COSAC and Ptolemy mass spectra at comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko
Harald Krüger,Fred Goesmann,Chaitanya Giri,Ian Wright,Andrew Morse,Jan Hendrik Bredehöft,Stephan Ulamec,Barbara Cozzoni,Pascale Ehrenfreund,Thomas Gautier,Susan McKenna-Lawlor,François Raulin,Harald Steininger,Cyril Szopa +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compare the temporal evolution of intensities of several ion species identified by both mass spectrometers and conclude that the peak at m/z 44 decays much slower than all the other ion species, including the water peak.
In-Situ Raman Spectroscopy on Phobos: RAX on the MMX Rover
Susanne Schröder,Tomás Belenguer,Ute Böttger,Maximilian Buder,Y. Cho,E. Dietz,Michael Gensch,Till Hagelschuer,Franziska Hanke,H.-W. Hübers,Shingo Kameda,Emanuel Kopp,Simon Kubitza,Andoni Moral,Carsten Paproth,Martin Pertenais,Gisbert Peter,Kristin Rammelkamp,Ph. Rodriguez,F. Rull,Conor Ryan,Thomas Säuberlich,Friedrich Schrandt,Stephan Ulamec,Tomohiro Usui,Roderick Vance +25 more
TL;DR: Schroeder et al. as discussed by the authors proposed a method to detect the presence of asteroids in the Earth's magnetic field using optical sensor data from the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
Small Spacecraft in Planetary Defence Related Applications – Capabilities, Constraints, Challenges
TL;DR: A brief overview of small spacecraft missions to small solar system bodies can be found in this paper, where the authors introduce the differences between the conventional methods employed in the design, integration and testing of large spacecraft and the new approaches developed by small spacecraft projects.
Philae Landing Test at the Landing and Mobility Test Facility (LAMA)
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present and discuss the preliminary results from this recent campaign and give an outlook to its further use in the upcoming landing preparations. But only a few of them entered into an orbit of these small bodies and even only two had physical contact to the surface.
