The strange case of SN 2011ja and its host
Sayan Chakraborti,Alak Ray,Randall K. Smith,Stuart D. Ryder,Naveen Yadav,Firoza Sutaria,Vikram V. Dwarkadas,Poonam Chandra,David Pooley,Rupak Roy +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated possible contamination from other astrophysical sources such as a X-Ray Binary, within the Chandra's resolution, in the host galaxy using their observations, modelling and pre-explosion Chandra/XMM data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radio Continuum Emission in the Resonance-Ring Galaxies NGC 1433 and NGC 6300
Hemant Shukla,Stuart D. Ryder +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Fundamental Properties of a Large, Unbiased Sample of Massive, Young, Embedded Star Clusters in the Milky Way
Journal ArticleDOI
New radio observations of the Type IIn Supernova 1978K
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported new radio observations at high frequency and spatial resolution of SN 1978K at 34 and 94 GHz with the Australia Telescope Compact Array, while very long baseline interferometry at 8.4 GHz has allowed them to derive the past average expansion velocity, which indicates significant deceleration as the blast wave interacts with the dense circumstellar medium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seeking supernovae with laser-guide-star adaptive optics
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Gemini North 8m telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii to monitor eight Luminous IR Galaxies (LIRGs) for supernovae.
