Journal ArticleDOI

Sensitive and colorimetric detection of the structural evolution of superoxide dismutase with gold nanoparticles.

TL;DR: In this paper, a gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-based highly sensitive and colorimetric detection of the temporal evolution of superoxide dismutase (SOD1) aggregates implicated in the pathology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of novel ceramic membranes modified by mesoporous silica with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and its application to Cu2+ separation in the aqueous phase

TL;DR: In this paper, a chemically active inorganic membrane with an ordered mesoporous skin layer was used for separation of Cu 2+ in an aqueous solution Mesoporous silica was deposited on the surface of a ceramic membrane using an anionic polyelectrolyte (poly(sodium 4-styrene sulfonate)) as an intermediate layer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface plasmon resonance analysis of aqueous copper ions with amino-terminated self-assembled monolayers

TL;DR: In this article, a simple amino-terminated self-assembled monolayer (SAM) as a molecular recognition element was used to detect Cu2+ ions in an aqueous solution using surface plasmon resonance (SPR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Reversible pH-driven conformational switching of tethered superoxide dismutase with gold nanoparticle enhanced surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy.

TL;DR: The first demonstration of the development of novel solid-state sensors and/or switching devices based on substrate-bound protein conformational changes and AuNP enhanced SPR spectroscopy is found to be highly reversible and reproducible.
