Effect of cranberry juice on bacteriuria in children with neurogenic bladder receiving intermittent catheterization.
TL;DR: The frequency of bacteriuria in patients with neurogenic bladder receiving intermittent catheterization is 70%; cranberry concentrate had no effect on bacteriuri in this population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Functional motor outcome in children with myelomeningocele: correlation with anatomic level on prenatal ultrasound
TL;DR: Prenatal anatomic level accurately predicted neuromotor level and functional motor outcome in 12 of the children and was a better predictor than motor level at birth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Developmental outcomes of children with myelomeningocele: Prenatal predictors☆☆☆★
TL;DR: The degree of ventriculomegaly determined on high-resolution prenatal ultrasonography is predictive of early cognitive development in children with myelomeningocele, with worsening ventricumgaly being associated with lower cognitive developmental quotients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrofurantoin Prophylaxis for Bacteriuria and Urinary Tract Infection in Children With Neurogenic Bladder on Intermittent Catheterization
TL;DR: Bacteriuria, even with pyuria, did not predict the presence of symptomatic urinary tract infection and was not associated with deterioration of the upper urinary tract during the 6 month period of study.
