Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structure and magnetism of a new dicubane-like ferromagnetic tetranuclear nickel cluster containing versatile azido-only bridges and a bis(bidentate) Schiff base blocker.

TL;DR: A tetranuclear double-open dicubane complex has been characterised structurally and magnetostructurally in this paper, where it has been shown to have a strong magnetic property.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magneto-structural correlations : Synthesis of a family of end-on azido-bridged manganese(II) dinuclear compounds with S = 5 spin ground state

TL;DR: A plot of experimental J vs theta, including data from the only preexisting compound of this kind, reveals a linear relationship, which could be the first evidence of a possible magneto-structural correlation between these two parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

A versatile series of nickel(II) complexes derived from tetradentate imine/pyridyl ligands and various pseudohalides: azide and cyanate compared.

TL;DR: The bulk magnetization of the complexes bridged by EO pseudohalides has been studied, revealing these ligands to mediate ferromagnetic coupling between the Ni(II) ions, with a striking difference in the coupling intensity between N3(-) and NCO(-).
Journal Article

Synthesis, structure, spectra and redox behavior of a ruthenium(III) complex with a tripodal Schiff base ligand

TL;DR: The reaction of equimolar proportion of septadentate tripodal Schiff base ligand, tris[2-salicylidene(amino)ethyl]amine, II 3 L (1) and RuCl 3.3H 2 O in refluxing methanol in presence of alkali has afforded a dark coloured compound of composition [Ru 1 1 1 L] as discussed by the authors.
