Journal ArticleDOI
Causal Link Between n-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Deficiency and Motivation Deficits
Fabien Ducrocq,Roman Walle,Andrea Contini,Asma Oummadi,Baptiste Caraballo,Suzanne van der Veldt,Marie-Lou Boyer,Frank Aby,Tarson Tolentino-Cortez,Jean-Christophe Helbling,Lucy Martine,Stéphane Grégoire,Stéphanie Cabaret,Sylvie Vancassel,Sophie Layé,Jing X. Kang,Xavier Fioramonti,Olivier Berdeaux,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez,Elodie Masson,Guillaume Ferreira,David W.L. Ma,Clémentine Bosch-Bouju,Véronique De Smedt-Peyrusse,Pierre Trifilieff +24 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that transgenically preventing n-3 PUFA deficiency selectively in D2-expressing neurons normalizes MSN collateral inhibition and enhances motivation, and suggests that lower n- 3 PUFA biostatus in psychopathologies could participate in the etiology of reward-related symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI
CD9 inhibition reveals a functional connection of extracellular vesicle secretion with mitophagy in melanoma cells.
Henar Suárez,Henar Suárez,Zoraida Andreu,Zoraida Andreu,Carla Mazzeo,Carla Mazzeo,Víctor Toribio,Víctor Toribio,Aldo Emmanuel Pérez-Rivera,Soraya López-Martín,Soraya López-Martín,Susana García-Silva,Begoña Hurtado,Esperanza Morato,Laura Peláez,Egoitz Astigarraga Arribas,Tarson Tolentino-Cortez,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez,Ana Isabel Marina,Héctor Peinado,María Yáñez-Mó,María Yáñez-Mó +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of tetraspanin CD9 gene deletion were compared with those elicited by cytopermeable peptides with blocking properties against TRS-CD9, showing that CD9 peptide induced an increase in lysosome numbers, while CD9 deletion augmented the number of MVB and EV secretion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microarray and Mass Spectrometry-Based Methodology for Lipid Profiling of Tissues and Cell Cultures
Roberto Fernández,Jone Garate,Tarson Tolentino-Cortez,Ainara Herraiz,Laura Lombardero,Fabien Ducrocq,Rafael Rodríguez-Puertas,Pierre Trifilieff,Egoitz Astigarraga,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez,José A. Fernández +10 more
TL;DR: A new methodology is presented that combines micro-arrays with mass spectrometry to obtain the lipid fingerprint of samples of different nature in a standardized and fast way, with minimal sample consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Acetylcholinesterase Activity in Cell Membrane Microarrays of Brain Areas as a Screening Tool to Identify Tissue Specific Inhibitors
Bárbara Rienda,Ane Elexpe,Tarson Tolentino-Cortez,Marina Gulak,Cristina Bruzos-Cidón,María Torrecilla,Egoitz Astigarraga,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez +7 more
TL;DR: A novel technology that enables the simultaneous determination of tissue specific AChE activity, as well as the analysis and screening of specific inhibitors, by using cell membrane microarrays is reported, demonstrating the major potential of this microarray’s technology.
Posted ContentDOI
Impact of membrane lipid polyunsaturation on dopamine D2 receptor ligand binding and signaling
Marie-Lise Jobin,Véronique De Smedt-Peyrusse,Fabien Ducrocq,Asma Oummadi,Rim Baccouch,Maria Pedersen,Brian Medel Lacruz,Pierre van Delft,Laetitia Fouillen,Sébastien Mongrand,Jana Selent,Tarson Tolentino-Cortez,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez,Stéphane Grégoire,Elodie A.Y. Masson,Thierry Durroux,Jonathan A. Javitch,Ramon Guixà-González,Isabel D. Alves,Pierre Trifilieff +19 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that n-3 PUFAs act as allosteric modulators of the D2R and provide a putative mechanism for their potentiating effect on antipsychotic efficacy.
