Effects of AL addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of AlxCoCrFeNi High-entropy alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of Al on microstructure and mechanical properties of AlxCoCrFeNi (x=0.1, 0.75 and 1.5) high-entropy alloys were systematically studied by using various characterization methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Irradiation Resistance in Al x CoCrFeNi High Entropy Alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural change and volume swelling due to irradiation were investigated using transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy, and the results showed that, with increasing the Al contents, the phase crystal structures of the as-cast samples evolved from face-centered cubic (FCC), to FCC+body-center cubic (BCC), and BCC and irradiation-induced volume swelling increased.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synergy of nuclear and electronic energy losses in ion-irradiation processes: The case of vitreous silicon dioxide

TL;DR: In this paper, structural modification of vitreous SiO2 by Au ion irradiation is investigated over an energy regime where the decrease of the nuclear energy loss with increasing energy is compensated by the increase of the electronic energy loss, leading to a nearly constant total energy loss of ~ 4 keV/nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Irradiation Behavior in High Entropy Alloys

TL;DR: In this article, a brief overview of the irradiation behavior in high entropy alloys was made and the irradiated-induced structural change in HEAs may be relatively insensitive because of their special structures.
