TL;DR: Overall, the baseline black and white cohort presented with similar ages, clinic and 24-hour blood pressures, but black adults had lower socioeconomic status and higher central systolic blood pressure than white individuals.

TL;DR: Based on results, it is recommended that black South African women follow a diet with more fruit and vegetables together with a decreased consumption of less energy-dense, micronutrient-poor foods such as savoury foods.

TL;DR: The GRS of European and Asian derived variants have limited clinical utility in the black South African population and the inclusion of population specific variants in the GRS is pivotal.
