Journal ArticleDOI
Immobilized metal-ion affinity chromatography of human antibodies and their proteolytic fragments.
Daniela Todorova-Balvay,Olivier Pitiot,Mustapha Bourhim,Thamarapu Srikrishnan,Mookambeswaran A. Vijayalakshmi +4 more
TL;DR: This approach could be used as a powerful alternative to conventional protein A/G methods for the commercial preparation of non immunogen active Fab'2 fragments and could be easily recovered under mild conditions (pH 7) in the non-retained fraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear quantitation of Aβ aggregation using Thioflavin T: Reduction in fibril formation by colostrinin
TL;DR: It was observed that, when the same gram molecular weight of Abeta is dissolved into varying amounts of base then placed into a constant volume of aqueous buffer, a non-linear fluorescent response is obtained and this anomalous result can be alleviated and a linear dose response curve is obtained at much lower Abeta concentrations than is typically observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protective effect of colostrinin on neuroblastoma cell survival is due to reduced aggregation of β-amyloid
David Schuster,Anitha Rajendran,Sek Wen Hui,Thomas M. Nicotera,Thamarapu Srikrishnan,Marian L. Kruzel +5 more
TL;DR: It is reported that CLN prevents the aggregation of beta-amyloid peptide Abeta (1-40) in vitro and that the neuroprotective effects exerted by CLN are related to the reduction of Beta-AMyloid fibrils.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of fluorinated mucin core 2 branched oligosaccharides with the potential of novel substrates and enzyme inhibitors for glycosyltransferases and sulfotransferases
TL;DR: The strategy of building branched mucin core 2 structures by three glycosidation sequence coupling three classes of glycosyl donors with the reactivity-matching acceptors proved to be successful in syntheses of modified mucin-type core structures of O-glycan.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical synthesis of sulfated oligosaccharides with a β-d-Gal-(1→3)-[β-d-Gal-(1→4)-(α-l-Fuc-(1→3)-β-d-GlcNAc-(1→6)]-α-d-GalNAc sequence
Jie Xia,Thamarapu Srikrishnan,James L. Alderfer,Rakesh K. Jain,Conrad F. Piskorz,Khushi L. Matta +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, two sulfated pentasaccharides, β-d-Gal6SO 3 Na-(1→3)-[β-d -Gal-(1/4)-α- l -Fuc-(1)/3)-β- d -GlcNAc-( 1/6)]-α- d-GalNAc→OMe, were synthesized using Lewis X trisaccharide 12 and 16 as donors.
