Journal ArticleDOI

Fuel processing for fuel cell systems in transportation and portable power applications

TL;DR: An overview of the reforming options for generating H2 from hydrocarbon fuels, the development of new reforming catalysts, and the design of fuel processors for these small fuel cell systems is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rare earth-first-row transition metal perovskites as catalysts for the autothermal reforming of hydrocarbon fuels to generate hydrogen

TL;DR: In this paper, perovskite oxides (ABO 3 ) containing rare earth elements on the A-site and first-row transition metal elements on B-site were studied as catalysts for autothermal reforming of liquid hydrocarbon fuels to produce hydrogen for fuel cell systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pt-Re bimetallic supported on CeO2-ZrO2 mixed oxides as water–gas shift catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the addition of Re to Pt/Ce 046 Zr 054 O 2 was shown to enhance the water-gas shift (WGS) rate compared with the rate observed with Pt alone supported on either Pt-Re or Pt-Ce 06 Zr 04 O 2 at similar Pt weight loadings.
Journal ArticleDOI

On-line economic optimization of energy systems using weather forecast information.

TL;DR: In this paper, an on-line optimization framework is proposed to exploit weather forecast information in the operation of energy systems, which can lead to more proactive and cost-effective operations.
