Suggestive Evidence for Receptors for Morphine and Methionine-Enkephalin on Normal Human Blood T Lymphocytes
TL;DR: It is suggested that normal human blood T lymphocytes bear surface receptor-like structures for morphine, dextromoramide, and methionine-enkephalin, which may provide a link between the central nervous system and the immune system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Costimulatory blockade in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a pilot, dose-finding, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluating CTLA-4Ig and LEA29Y eighty-five days after the first infusion.
Larry W. Moreland,Rieke Alten,Filip Van den Bosch,Thierry Appelboom,Marc Leon,P. Emery,Stanley Cohen,Michael E. Luggen,William Shergy,Isaac Nuamah,Jean-Claude Becker +10 more
TL;DR: Both CTLA-4Ig and LEA29Y demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of RA, and were generally safe and well tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Which spinal lesions are associated with new bone formation in patients with ankylosing spondylitis treated with anti-TNF agents? A long-term observational study using MRI and conventional radiography
Xenofon Baraliakos,Frank Heldmann,Johanna Callhoff,Joachim Listing,Thierry Appelboom,J Brandt,F. Van den Bosch,Maxime Breban,G.-R. Burmester,Maxime Dougados,P. TL;DR: Parallel occurrence of inflammation and FD at baseline and development of FD without prior inflammation after 2’years were significantly associated with syndesmophyte formation after 5 years of anti-tumour necrosis factor (TNF) therapy, an argument against the TNF-brake hypothesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Infliximab in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome: a pilot study.
TL;DR: In patients with active primary SS, a loading-dose regimen of 3 infusions of infliximab provided a fast and significant clinical benefit without major adverse reactions, and it was possible to maintain statistically significant improvement for up to 8 weeks after the third infusion.
