Journal ArticleDOI
Subthalamic nucleus stimulation in severe obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Luc Mallet,Mircea Polosan,Nematollah Jaafari,Nicolas Baup,Marie-Laure Welter,Denys Fontaine,Sophie Tezenas du Montcel,Jérôme Yelnik,Isabelle Chereau,Christophe Arbus,Sylvie Raoul,Bruno Aouizerate,Philippe Damier,Stephan Chabardes,Virginie Czernecki,Claire Ardouin,Marie-Odile Krebs,Eric Bardinet,Patrick Chaynes,Pierre Burbaud,Philippe Cornu,Philippe Derost,Thierry Bougerol,Benoit Bataille,Vianney Mattei,Didier Dormont,Bertrand Devaux,Marc Vérin,Jean-Luc Houeto,Pierre Pollak,Alim-Louis Benabid,Yves Agid,Paul Krack,Bruno Millet,Antoine Pelissolo,Non Renseigné +35 more
TL;DR: These preliminary findings suggest that stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus may reduce the symptoms of severe forms of OCD but is associated with a substantial risk of serious adverse events.
Journal ArticleDOI
Executive/attentional performance and measures of schizotypy in patients with schizophrenia and in their nonpsychotic first-degree relatives.
Annie Laurent,Michel Biloa-Tang,Thierry Bougerol,Dominique Duly,Anne-Marie Anchisi,Jean-Luc Bosson,Jacques Pellat,Thierry d'Amato,Jean Dalery +8 more
TL;DR: In both patient and relative groups, performance was significantly poorer on the DSST, VFT and Trail B, and the reaction time on the SPAN was significantly longer; age did not appear to cancel differences between the relative and control groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors for treatment resistance in unipolar depression: a systematic review.
Djamila Bennabi,Bruno Aouizerate,Wissam El-Hage,Olivier Doumy,Fanny Moliere,P. Courtet,Isabel Nieto,Frank Bellivier,M. Bubrovsky,Guillaume Vaiva,J. Holztmann,Thierry Bougerol,Raphaëlle Richieri,Christophe Lançon,Vincent Camus,Ghassen Saba,F. Haesbaert,Thierry d'Amato,Thomas Charpeaud,Pierre-Michel Llorca,Marion Leboyer,Emmanuel Haffen +21 more
TL;DR: The current status of knowledge regarding risk factors of treatment resistance in unipolar depression, in patients who failed to respond to at least two successive and adequate antidepressant treatments is reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Attentional deficits in patients with schizophrenia and in their non-psychotic first-degree relatives.
Annie Laurent,Mohamed Saoud,Thierry Bougerol,Thierry d'Amato,Anne-Marie Anchisi,Michel Biloa-Tang,Jean Dalery,Thierry Rochet +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that spatial sustained attention deficit may be a vulnerability marker for schizophrenia; however, this deficit and the negative dimension of schizotypal personality disorders may be distinct traits.
Journal ArticleDOI
fMRI evidence for abnormal resting-state functional connectivity in euthymic bipolar patients
Pauline Favre,Pauline Favre,Monica Baciu,Monica Baciu,Cédric Pichat,Cédric Pichat,Thierry Bougerol,Mircea Polosan +7 more
TL;DR: Assessing resting-state functional connectivity in euthymic BP aims to identify trait abnormalities responsible for enduring mood dysregulation in these patients, which could underlie the pathophysiology of BD, and may deteriorate further in accordance with disease duration.
