Kinetic exchange vs. room temperature ferromagnetism in diluted magnetic semiconductors
TL;DR: In this article, the feasibility of obtaining p-type conductivity, required for the carrier-induced ferromagnetism, as well as the cases for which the doping by shallow impurities may lead to the ferromagnetic driven by the double exchange was discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetoresistance of n‐type ZnO:Al and Zn1–xMnxO:Al thin films
Tomasz Andrearczyk,Jan Jaroszynski,Jan Jaroszynski,G. Grabecki,Tomasz Dietl,Tomasz Dietl,Tomoteru Fukumura,Masashi Kawasaki +7 more
TL;DR: The role of spin-orbit and s-d exchange interactions was investigated by magnetoresistance (MR) measurements carried out down to 50 mK on ZnO and Zn1-xMnxO with x = 3 and 7% and electron concentration ∼1020 cm-3 as discussed by the authors.
Book ChapterDOI
Ferromagnetic Interactions in p- and n-type II–VI Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors
Tomasz Andrearczyk,Jan Jaroszynski,Maciej Sawicki,Le Van Khoi,Tomasz Dietl,David Ferrand,C. Bourgognon,Joel Cibert,Serge Tatarenko,Tomoteru Fukumura,Zhengwu Jin,Hideomi Koinuma,Masashi Kawasaki +12 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Realistic electron-electron interaction in a quantum wire
TL;DR: In this paper, the form of an effective electron-electron interaction in a quantum wire with a large static dielectric constant is determined and the resulting properties of the electron liquid in such a one-dimensional system are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferromagnetic transition induced by a two-dimensional hole gas in semimagnetic quantum wells
Y. Merle d'Aubigné,Alexandre Arnoult,Joel Cibert,Tomasz Dietl,Tomasz Dietl,A. Haury,Piotr Kossacki,Piotr Kossacki,Serge Tatarenko,A. Wasiela +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the effects of the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction between localized spins in various dimensionality systems of doped diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) is given.
