Journal ArticleDOI

Lung dendritic cells at the innate-adaptive immune interface.

TL;DR: Lung DCs serve as a functional signaling/sensing unit to maintain lung homeostasis and orchestrate host responses to benign and harmful foreign substances, making lung DCs well‐suited to their role as lung sentinels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-surgical intratracheal instillation of mice with analysis of lungs and lung draining lymph nodes by flow cytometry.

TL;DR: A simple, consistent, non-surgical method for i.t instillation of antigens into the lungs and procedures for harvesting and processing of LDLNs and lungs for analysis of antigen trafficking by flow cytometry are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lung B cells promote early pathogen dissemination and hasten death from inhalation anthrax

TL;DR: It is shown here that the initial traffic of BA spores from lungs to LDLNs is largely independent of LDCs and CCR7, occurring instead in association with B cells, suggesting that mucosal B cells traffic BA, and possibly other antigens, from lungsto LDLNs.
