Reconstruction of the gravitational wave signal h(t) during the Virgo science runs and independent validation with a photon calibrator

T. Accadia, +195 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method used to reconstruct, in the range 10 Hz-10 kHz, the gravitational wave strain time series from the detector signals is described and the standard consistency checks of the reconstruction are discussed and used to estimate the systematic uncertainties of the $h(t)$ signal as a function of frequency.

High finesse Fabry-Perot cavities in picosecond regime

TL;DR: An R&D activity on high finesse passive Fabry-Perot cavities locked to a mode-locked oscillator is described in this paper, where a new nonplanar four-mirror cavity geometry is proposed to provide stable laser cavity locking operations.
