Biochemical characterization and modulation of LH/CG—receptor during human trophoblast differentiation†
Guillaume Pidoux,Pascale Gerbaud,Vassilis Tsatsaris,Olivier Marpeau,Fatima Ferreira,Geri Meduri,Jean Guibourdenche,Josette Badet,Danièle Evain-Brion,Jean-Louis Frendo,Jean-Louis Frendo +10 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed by in situ immunochemistry and in cultured cells, that LH/CG‐R is expressed in both villous cytotrophoblasts and syncytiotrophoblast, and expression decreased during trophoblast fusion and differentiation, while the expression of hCG and hPL increased.
Journal ArticleDOI
Management of thrombotic microangiopathy in pregnancy and postpartum: report from an international working group
Fadi Fakhouri,Marie Scully,François Provôt,Miquel Blasco,Paul Coppo,Marina Noris,Kathy Paizis,David J. Kavanagh,David J. Kavanagh,Frédéric Pène,Frédéric Pène,Frédéric Pène,Sol Quezada,Alexandre Hertig,Sébastien Kissling,Patrick O'Brien,Yahsou Delmas,Lorenzo Alberio,Norbert Winer,Agnès Veyradier,Spero R. Cataland,Véronique Frémeaux-Bacchi,Chantal Loirat,Giuseppe Remuzzi,Vassilis Tsatsaris +24 more
TL;DR: An international multidisciplinary working group summarizes the current knowledge of these potentially severe disorders and proposes a practical clinical approach to diagnose and manage an episode of pregnancy-associated TMA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for contamination as the origin for bacteria found in human placenta rather than a microbiota.
Rémi Gschwind,Thierry Fournier,Sean Kennedy,Vassilis Tsatsaris,Anne-Gaël Cordier,Frédéric Barbut,Marie-José Butel,Sandra Wydau-Dematteis +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the isolation of meaningful quantities of viable bacteria or bacterial DNA was possible only outside the placenta, highlighting the importance of sampling methods in studying the in utero environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and onset of chronic hypertension in France: the nationwide CONCEPTION study.
Pauline Boucheron,Grégory Lailler,Elodie Moutengou,Nolwenn Regnault,Amélie Gabet,Catherine Deneux-Tharaux,Catherine Deneux-Tharaux,Sandrine Kretz,Clémence Grave,Claire Mounier-Vehier,Vassilis Tsatsaris,Geneviève Plu-Bureau,Geneviève Plu-Bureau,Jacques Blacher,Valérie Olié +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of pregnancy exposure on the onset of chronic hypertension in primiparous women in the first years following childbirth was estimated using Cox models to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) for all types of pregnancy disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Placental Overexpression of Soluble CORIN in Preeclampsia.
Séverine A. Degrelle,Audrey Chissey,Alain Stepanian,Thierry Fournier,Jean Guibourdenche,Laurent Mandelbrot,Vassilis Tsatsaris +6 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that CORIN is secreted by trophoblastic cells and that high levels of soluble CORIN in preeclampsia have a placental origin.
