Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient photoswitching of the nonlinear optical properties of dipolar photochromic zinc(II) complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear and nonlinear optical properties of cationic bipyridyl iridium(III) complexes: tunable and photoswitchable?
Vincent Aubert,Lucie Ordronneau,Muriel Escadeillas,J. A. Gareth Williams,Abdou Boucekkine,Esther Coulaud,Claudia Dragonetti,Stefania Righetto,Dominique Roberto,Renato Ugo,Adriana Valore,Anu Singh,Joseph Zyss,Isabelle Ledoux-Rak,Hubert Le Bozec,Véronique Guerchais +15 more
TL;DR: High negative EFISH μβ values are observed upon photocyclization, suggesting that the quadratic NLO response is dominated by the MLCT/L'LCT processes, rather than by the intraligand excited states localized on the substituted bipyridine ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective ruthenium-catalyzed transformations of enynes with diazoalkanes into alkenylbicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes.
Florian Monnier,Chloe Vovard‐Le Bray,Dante Castillo,Vincent Aubert,Sylvie Dérien,Pierre H. Dixneuf,Loïc Toupet,Andrea Ienco,Carlo Mealli +8 more
TL;DR: Density functional theory calculations performed starting from the model system Ru(HCCH)(CH2=CH2)Cl(C5H5) show that the transformation into a ruthenacyclobutane intermediate occurs with a temporary eta3-coordination of the cyclopentadienyl ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI
The first hexadithienylethene-substituted tris(bipyridine)metal complexes as quadratic NLO photoswitches: combined experimental and DFT studies.
Lucie Ordronneau,Vincent Aubert,Véronique Guerchais,Abdou Boucekkine,Hubert Le Bozec,Anu Singh,Isabelle Ledoux,Denis Jacquemin,Denis Jacquemin +8 more
TL;DR: The photostability of the isomeric forms of the iron(II) complexes allows the photoswitching of second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) responses, and the results are rationalized with the help of time-dependent density functional theory.
Journal ArticleDOI
A “reverse interrupter”: the novel molecular design of a fluorescent photochromic DTE-based bipyridine
Vincent Aubert,Eléna Ishow,Fatima Ibersiene,Abdou Boucekkine,J. A. Gareth Williams,Loïc Toupet,Rémi Métivier,Keitaro Nakatani,Véronique Guerchais,Hubert Le Bozec +9 more
TL;DR: An original design of a fluorescent dithienylethene (DTE)-based bipyridine, where donor (D) and acceptor (A) groups are located on the same thiophene ring of the DTE unit, is reported in this paper.
