Selective Referral Using CCTA Versus Direct Referral for Individuals Referred to Invasive Coronary Angiography for Suspected CAD: A Randomized, Controlled, Open-Label Trial
Hyuk Jae Chang,Fay Y. Lin,Dan Gebow,Hae Young An,Daniele Andreini,Ravi Bathina,Andrea Baggiano,Virginia Beltrama,Rodrigo Cerci,Eui-Young Choi,Jung Hyun Choi,So-Yeon Choi,Namsik Chung,Jason H. Cole,Joon Hyung Doh,Sang Jin Ha,Ae Young Her,Cezary Kępka,Jang Young Kim,Jin Won Kim,Sang Wook Kim,Woong Kim,Gianluca Pontone,Uma Valeti,Todd C. Villines,Yao Lu,Amit Kumar,Iksung Cho,Ibrahim Danad,Donghee Han,Donghee Han,Ran Heo,Sang Eun Lee,Ji Hyun Lee,Ji Hyun Lee,Hyung Bok Park,Ji Min Sung,David Leflang,Joseph Zullo,Leslee J. Shaw,James K. Min +40 more
TL;DR: In stable patients with suspected CAD who are eligible for ICA, the comparable 1-year major adverse cardiovascular events rates following a selective referral and direct referral strategy suggests that both diagnostic approaches are similarly effective.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computed tomography coronary angiography versus stress cardiac magnetic resonance for the management of symptomatic revascularized patients: a cost effectiveness study (strategy study)
Gianluca Pontone,Daniele Andreini,Marco Guglielmo,Cristina Rota,Saima Mushtaq,Andrea Baggiano,Virginia Beltrama,Anna Solbiati,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Mauro Pepi +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Coronary Artery Disease: Diagnostic Accuracy of CT Coronary Angiography—A Comparison of High and Standard Spatial Resolution Scanning
Gianluca Pontone,Erika Bertella,Saima Mushtaq,Monica Loguercio,Sarah Cortinovis,Andrea Baggiano,Edoardo Conte,Andrea Annoni,Alberto Formenti,Virginia Beltrama,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Daniele Andreini +11 more
TL;DR: Improved evaluability and accuracy were seen with HR compared with SR coronary CT angiography of calcified coronary artery lesions, suggesting a potential use for this technology in patients at high risk for CAD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic Benefit of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Over Transthoracic Echocardiography for the Assessment of Ischemic and Nonischemic Dilated Cardiomyopathy Patients Referred for the Evaluation of Primary Prevention Implantable Cardioverter–Defibrillator Therapy
Gianluca Pontone,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Daniele Andreini,Anna Solbiati,Marco Guglielmo,Saima Mushtaq,Andrea Baggiano,Virginia Beltrama,Laura Fusini,Cristina Rota,Chiara Segurini,Edoardo Conte,Paola Gripari,Antonio Russo,Massimo Moltrasio,Fabrizio Tundo,Federico Lombardi,Giuseppe Muscogiuri,Valentina Lorenzoni,Claudio Tondo,Piergiuseppe Agostoni,Antonio L. Bartorelli,Mauro Pepi +23 more
TL;DR: CMR provides additional prognostic stratification as compared to TTE, which may have direct impact on the indication of implantable cardioverter–defibrillator implantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The STRATEGY Study (Stress Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Versus Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography for the Management of Symptomatic Revascularized Patients): Resources and Outcomes Impact
Gianluca Pontone,Daniele Andreini,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Andrea Igoren Guaricci,Cristina Rota,Marco Guglielmo,Saima Mushtaq,Andrea Baggiano,Virginia Beltrama,Laura Fusini,Anna Solbiati,Chiara Segurini,Edoardo Conte,Paola Gripari,Andrea Annoni,Alberto Formenti,Maria Petullà,Federico Lombardi,Giuseppe Muscogiuri,Antonio L. Bartorelli,Mauro Pepi +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared anatomic (cTCA) versus a functional (stress-CMR) strategy in symptomatic patients with previous myocardial revascularization procedures.
