On domination of nonlinear wave interaction in the energy balance of wind-driven sea

TL;DR: In this paper, it is demonstrated that the effective four-wave nonlinear interaction plays the leading role in the formation of the spectra of turbulent waves. But this interaction leads to non-linear damping which exceeds standard data at least by an order of magnitude.

Numerical simulations of magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, including kinetic effects in the plasma sheet

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-consistent model of ionosphere-magnetosphere coupling is presented, based on a kinetic description of the transport of hot protons and electrons in the Earth's magnetosphere, including their precipitation into the auroral ionosphere.
