The TSC-mTOR Signaling Pathway Regulates the Innate Inflammatory Response

TL;DR: It is shown that the tuberous sclerosis complex-mammalian target of rapamycin (TSC-mTOR) pathway regulated inflammatory responses after bacterial stimulation in monocytes, macrophages, and primary dendritic cells, and protected genetically susceptible mice against lethal Listeria monocytogenes infection.

Anti-inflammatory effects of sodium butyrate on human monocytes: potent inhibition of IL-12 and up-regulation of IL-10 production

TL;DR: A novel anti‐inflammatory property of butyrate is demonstrated that may have broad implications for the regulation of immune responses in vivo and could be exploited as new therapeutic approach in inflammatory conditions.
