Journal ArticleDOI

Real-space detection and manipulation of two-dimensional quantum well states in few-layer MoS2

TL;DR: In this article , the authors detected quantized electronic states of few-layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) in real space using scanning tunneling microscope/spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biased signaling due to oligomerization of the G protein-coupled platelet-activating factor receptor

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show that assembly into dimers and oligomers can largely influence the signaling mode of the platelet-activating factor receptor (PAFR), and they highlight a mechanism involved in the control of receptor signaling and thereby provide important insights into the relationship between GPCR oligomerization and downstream signaling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation and characterization of eighteen polymorphic microsatellite loci in Schizopygopsis younghusbandi Regan and cross-amplification in three other Schizothoracinae species.

TL;DR: Eighteen polymorphic microsatellite loci were isolated from Schizopygopsis younghusbandi Regan and the characterization of these loci was assessed in 46 individuals collected from the Yarlung Tsangpo River in Tibet, China.

Very-high-temperature gas-cooled reactors: Progress and challenges

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on the progress of a US/Korea INERI research project and address some significant issues and challenges, including the development of computational fluid dynamic methods for VHTGR, experimental study of reactor cavity cooling system, air ingress experiment, theoretical modification of system analysis codes for molecular diffusion (RELAP5/ATHENA) and modeling CO and CO2 equilibrium (MELCOR), and development of a state-of-the-art methodology for very-high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (VHTGR) neutronic analysis
Journal ArticleDOI

Comprehensive analysis of LAMC1 expression and prognostic value in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma and clear cell carcinoma

TL;DR: Enhanced LAMC1 expression suggests a poor prognosis in KIRP while a better prognosisin KIRC, and these opposite prognostic signatures of L AMC1 may be related to different immune microenvironments.
