Prevalence, awareness, and treatment of anemia in Chinese patients with nondialysis chronic kidney disease: First multicenter, cross-sectional study.
Ya Li,Hao Shi,Wei-Ming Wang,Ai Peng,Gengru Jiang,Jin-Yuan Zhang,Zhaohui Ni,Liqun He,Jianying Niu,Niansong Wang,Changlin Mei,Xudong Xu,Zhiyong Guo,Weijie Yuan,Hai-Dong Yan,Yueyi Deng,Chen Yu,Jun Cen,Yun Zhang,Nan Chen +19 more
TL;DR: Anemia is highly prevalent in patients with ND-CKD in China, with a low target-achieving rate and poor treatment patterns, and the need to improve multiple aspects of CKD management to delay the progression of renal failure is highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Butyrate ameliorates skeletal muscle atrophy in diabetic nephropathy by enhancing gut barrier function and FFA2-mediated PI3K/Akt/mTOR signals.
TL;DR: In this article, butyrate was shown to improve muscle atrophy induced by diabetic nephropathy by enhancing intestinal barrier function and activating the FFA2 receptor-mediated PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mineral and bone disorder in Chinese dialysis patients: a multicenter study
Xianglei Kong,Luxia Zhang,Ling Zhang,Nan Chen,Yong Gu,Xueqing Yu,Wenhu Liu,Jianghua Chen,Liren Peng,Weijie Yuan,Hua Wu,Wei Chen,Minhua Fan,Liqun He,Feng Ding,Xiangmei Chen,Zuying Xiong,Jin-Yuan Zhang,Qiang Jia,Wei Shi,Changying Xing,Xiaoling Tang,Fan Fan Hou,Gui-Yang Shu,Changlin Mei,Li Wang,Dongmei Xu,Zhaohui Ni,Li Zuo,Mei Wang,Haiyan Wang +30 more
TL;DR: Age, dialysis patterns and region of residency were independently associated with hyperphosphatemia and status of MBD is sub-optimal among Chinese patients receiving dialysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrarenal activation of renin angiotensin system in the development of cyclosporine A induced chronic nephrotoxicity.
TL;DR: Renal allograft biopsy is important to differentiate chronic CsA-related nephropathy from chronic rejection and the intrarenal renin angiotensin system plays an important role in Cs a-related chronic nephrotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors for heart valve calcification in chronic kidney disease.
TL;DR: Advanced age, increased IVST, hypocholesterolemia, and hyper-LDL cholesterolesmia were key risk factors for VC in Han patients with CKD, and Multivariable logistic regression analysis indicated that age, blood Ch, and LDL levels were significantly associated with VC.
