[Virological characteristics of influenza A (H3N2) virus in mainland China during 2013-2014].
Xiyan Li,Yanhui Cheng,Minju Tan,Weijuan Huang,Junfeng Guo,Hejiang Wei,Ning Xiao,Yu Lan,Xiang Zhao,Lei Yang,Zhao Wang,Dayan Wang,Yuelong Shu +12 more
TL;DR: Although the majority of circulating influenza A (H3N2) viruses in 2011-2012 season in Mainland China were antigeniclly matched by current influenza vaccine strain and the selected representative viruses, low reaction strains have increased since 2012, therefore it is necessary to strengthen the surveillance on the variation of influenza virus.
Journal ArticleDOI
The heterogeneity of influenza seasonality by subtype and lineage in China.
Cuiling Xu,Benjamin J. Cowling,Tao Chen,Lijie Wang,Ye Zhang,Dawei Huang,Lei Yang,Jing Yang,Weijuan Huang,Dayan Wang,Yuelong Shu,Yuelong Shu +11 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuraminidase inhibitor susceptibility profile of human influenza viruses during the 2016-2017 influenza season in Mainland China.
Weijuan Huang,Yanhui Cheng,Xiyan Li,Minju Tan,Hejiang Wei,Xiang Zhao,Ning Xiao,Jie Dong,Dayan Wang +8 more
TL;DR: NAIs remain the recommended antiviral for treatment and prophylaxis of influenza virus infections during the 2016-2017 influenza season in Mainland China and will remain so during the 2017-18 season.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of Two Novel Candidate Genetic Variants Associated With the Responsiveness to Influenza Vaccination
Simin Wen,Hejiang Wei,Qijun Liao,Mao Li,Shuyi Zhong,Yanhui Cheng,Weijuan Huang,Dayan Wang,Yuelong Shu +8 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper found that the GG genotype of rs2455230 tended to be correlated with lower antibody fold rises (P = 0.096) against H3N2, but the difference was not statistically significant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Substitution of I222L-E119V in neuraminidase from highly pathogenic avian influenza H7N9 virus exhibited synergistic resistance effect to oseltamivir in mice.
Jing Tang,Rongbao Gao,Liqi Liu,Shu-Xia Zhang,Jia Liu,Xiyan Li,Qiong-Qiong Fang,Zhaomin Feng,Cuiling Xu,Weijuan Huang,Dayan Wang +10 more
TL;DR: The authors in this article showed that the high frequency and good replication capacity of strains with reduced susceptibility to neuraminidase inhibitors (NAIs) in highly pathogenic avian influenza H7N9 (HPAI H7Ns9) virus made it a significance to further study its drug resistance.
