Journal ArticleDOI
All-optical cascaded laser wakefield accelerator using ionization-induced injection.
Jiansheng Liu,Changquan Xia,Wentao Wang,Haiyang Lu,C. Wang,Aihua Deng,Wentao Li,H. Y. Zhang,X. Y. Liang,Yongbin Leng,Xinchao Lu,C. Wang,Jun-Zhong Wang,K. Nakajima,Ruxin Li,Zhigang Xu +15 more
TL;DR: Electron injection and acceleration are successfully separated and controlled in different LWFA stages by employing two gas cells filled with a He/O2 mixture and pure He gas, respectively and the demonstrated scheme paves the way towards the multi-GeV laser accelerators.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-Brightness High-Energy Electron Beams from a Laser Wakefield Accelerator via Energy Chirp Control
Wentao Wang,Wentao Li,Jiansheng Liu,Jiansheng Liu,Zhijun Zhang,Rong Qi,C. H. Yu,Jianquan Liu,Ming Fang,Zhiyong Qin,C. Wang,Y. F. Xu,Fenxiang Wu,Yongbin Leng,Ruxin Li,Ruxin Li,Ruxin Li,Z. Z. Xu,Z. Z. Xu,Z. Z. Xu +19 more
TL;DR: By designing a structured gas density profile between the dual-stage gas jets to manipulate electron seeding and energy chirp reversal for compressing the energy spread, high-brightness high-energy electron beams from a cascaded laser wakefield accelerator are experimentally produced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrahigh brilliance quasi-monochromatic MeV γ-rays based on self-synchronized all-optical Compton scattering.
Changhai Yu,Rong Qi,Wentao Wang,Jiansheng Liu,Jiansheng Liu,Wentao Li,Cheng Wang,Zhijun Zhang,Jiaqi Liu,Zhiyong Qin,Ming Fang,Ke Feng,Ying Wu,Ye Tian,Yi Xu,Fenxiang Wu,Yuxin Leng,Xiufeng Weng,Jihu Wang,Fuli Wei,Yicheng Yi,Zhaohui Song,Ruxin Li,Ruxin Li,Zhizhan Xu +24 more
TL;DR: This compact ultrahigh brilliance γ-ray source may provide applications in nuclear resonance fluorescence, x-ray radiology and ultrafast pump-probe nondestructive inspection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser wakefield acceleration of electron beams beyond 1 GeV from an ablative capillary discharge waveguide
Haiyang Lu,Mingwei Liu,Wentao Wang,Cheng Wang,Jiansheng Liu,Aihua Deng,Jiancai Xu,Changquan Xia,Wentao Li,Hui Zhang,Xiao-Ming Lu,Jianzhou Wang,Xiaoyan Liang,Yuxin Leng,Baifei Shen,Kazuhisa Nakajima,Ruxin Li,Zhizhan Xu +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a 4-cm long ablative capillary discharge plasma channel to experimentally demonstrate the acceleration of electrons well beyond 1 GeV and optical guiding of ultraintense laser pulses of peak powers up to 160 TW over a 4 cm long, cylindrical, acrylic-resin filled plasma channel, with energies up to 1.8 GeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic and laser properties of Ho3+ doped lanthanum-tungsten-tellurite glass and fiber
Dahai Li,Wenbin Xu,Peiwen Kuan,Wentao Li,Zhiquan Lin,Xin Wang,Lei Zhang,Chunlei Yu,Kefeng Li,Lili Hu +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectroscopic properties of 2-μm emission in Ho 3+ -doped lanthanum-tungsten-tellurite glasses with different Ho 2 O 3 concentrations were investigated.
