Insight into hepatocellular carcinogenesis at transcriptome level by comparing gene expression profiles of hepatocellular carcinoma with those of corresponding noncancerous liver.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive characterization of gene expression profiles of hepatitis B virus-positive HCC through the generation of a large set of 5′-read expressed sequence tag (EST) clusters (11,065 in total) from HCC and non-cancerous liver samples, which then were applied to a cDNA microarray system containing 12,393 genes/ESTs and to comparison with a public database.
Journal ArticleDOI

What drives people to accept automated vehicles? Findings from a field experiment

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of direct experience of an automated vehicle (AV, Level 3) and explaining and predicting public acceptance of AVs through a psychological model was analyzed. But the authors considered the last two determinants, namely perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), trust related to SDVs, and perceived safety (PS) while riding in our AV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation of nanogratings on the surface of a ZnSe crystal irradiated by femtosecond laser pulses

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of the nanograting was attributed to the interference between the surface scattered wave of 800 nm lasers and the 400 nm light, and the period of the lambda was about lambda/2n, where n is refractive index of the sample, and lambda, the laser wavelength.
Journal ArticleDOI

DSRC Versus 4G-LTE For Connected Vehicle Applications: A Study on Field Experiments of Vehicular Communication Performance

TL;DR: 4G-LTE is more preferred for the nonsafety applications, such as traffic information transmission, file download, or Internet accessing, which does not necessarily require the high-speed real-time communication, while for the safety applications, such as Collision Avoidance or electronic traffic sign, DSRC outperforms the 4G- LTE.
