Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon emissions from land-use change and management in China between 1990 and 2010.

TL;DR: This work analyzes changes in vegetation and soil carbon storage between 1990 and 2010 resulting from combinations of land-use category conversion and management in China and highlights the importance of improving land- use management.
Journal ArticleDOI

Economic transition, spatial development and urban land use efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta, China

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the spatial patterns and underlying determinants of urban land efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) focusing on accessibility and economic transition, and found that the spatial agglomeration effect of ULE has intensified with the development of transportation accessibility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced surface ozone during the heat wave of 2013 in Yangtze River Delta region, China.

TL;DR: It was found that chemical reactions play the most important role in ozone formation during HW days, which result in 12ppb ozone enhancement compared to NHW days, and suggests that the chemical reaction will potentially lead to substantial elevated ozone in a warmer climate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Environmental effects of land-use/cover change caused by urbanization and policies in Southwest China Karst area – A case study of Guiyang

TL;DR: In this paper, an integrated approach was used to explore the environmental effect of land-use/cover change with urbanization and China's ecosystem restoration projects during the period 1996-2010.
Journal ArticleDOI

Land use, total carbon emissions change and low carbon land management in Coastal Jiangsu, China

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors calculated the total carbon emissions in coastal Jiangsu, China, assigned the detailed carbon emission items to different land use types, and optimized land use structure to low carbon emissions using the Linear Programming Model.
