Sex- and age-specific variation of gut microbiota in Brandt's voles.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors collected the feces of Brandt's voles in the grassland, of three age groups (juvenile, adult and old), in both sexes, and studied the gut microbiota by 16S rRNA sequencing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Physiology and proteomics reveal Fulvic acid mitigates Cadmium adverse effects on growth and photosynthetic properties of lettuce.

TL;DR: In this paper , the effects of Fulvic acid on alleviation of Cd toxicity in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) under hydroponic conditions were investigated and the results showed that 20 μmol/L Cd stress significantly reduced photosynthetic pigment metabolism and the expression of proteins, thereby inhibiting photoynthetic electron transport.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gut microbiota is associated with the effect of photoperiod on seasonal breeding in male Brandt’s voles (Lasiopodomys brandtii)

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the association of gut microbiota with photoperiod-induced reproduction in male Brandt's voles (Lasiopodomys brandtii) through a long-day and short-day photopiod manipulation experiment and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gut microbiota reflect the crowding stress of space shortage, physical and non-physical contact in Brandt’s voles (Lasiopodomys brandtii)

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the effects of space shortage and physical or non-physical contact stress on serum corticosterone and gut microbiota of Brandt’s voles in both laboratory and field conditions.
