Journal ArticleDOI
Functional inks and printing of two-dimensional materials.
Guohua Hu,Joohoon Kang,Leonard W. T. Ng,Xiaoxi Zhu,Richard C. T. Howe,Christopher G. Jones,Mark C. Hersam,Tawfique Hasan +7 more
TL;DR: In this review, the current progress on ink formulation of two-dimensional materials and the printable applications enabled by them are summarized and perspectives on their research and technological future prospects are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
A general ink formulation of 2D crystals for wafer-scale inkjet printing.
Guohua Hu,Guohua Hu,Lisong Yang,Zongyin Yang,Yubo Wang,Yubo Wang,Xinxin Jin,Jie Dai,Qing Wu,Shouhu Liu,Xiaoxi Zhu,Xiaoshan Wang,Tien-Chun Wu,Richard C. T. Howe,Tom Albrow-Owen,Leonard W. T. Ng,Qing Yang,Luigi Occhipinti,Robert I. Woodward,Robert I. Woodward,Edmund J. R. Kelleher,Edmund J. R. Kelleher,Zhipei Sun,Xiao Huang,Meng Zhang,Colin D. Bain,Tawfique Hasan +26 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Marangoni-enhanced spreading in this formulation inhibits contact line pinning and deforms the droplet shape to naturally suppress the capillary flows that give rise to the CRE, supporting uniform deposition of 2D crystals and their derivatives.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformal Printing of Graphene for Single‐ and Multilayered Devices onto Arbitrarily Shaped 3D Surfaces
Leonard W. T. Ng,Xiaoxi Zhu,Guohua Hu,Nasiruddin Macadam,Doo-Seung Um,Tien-Chun Wu,Frederic Le Moal,Christopher G. Jones,Tawfique Hasan +8 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Hexagonal Boron Nitride-Enhanced Optically Transparent Polymer Dielectric Inks for Printable Electronics.
Xiaoxi Zhu,Leonard W. T. Ng,Guohua Hu,Guohua Hu,Tien-Chun Wu,Doo-Seung Um,Nasiruddin Macadam,Tawfique Hasan +7 more
TL;DR: A “one‐pot” formulation of polyurethane (PU)‐based inks with h‐BN nano‐fillers is developed, which represents an optically transparent, flexible thin‐film, with enhanced dielectric constant for printed electronics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformal printing of graphene for single and multi-layered devices on to arbitrarily shaped 3D surfaces
Leonard W. T. Ng,Xiaoxi Zhu,Guohua Hu,Nasiruddin Macadam,Doo-Seung Um,Tien-Chun Wu,Frederic Le Moal,Christopher G. Jones,Tawfique Hasan +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a water-insoluble graphene ink with optimum conductivity is formulated and then printed single and multi-layered electrically functional structures on to a sacrificial layer using conventional screen printing.
