One-step hydrothermal synthesis of high-performance visible-light-driven SnS2/SnO2 nanoheterojunction photocatalyst for the reduction of aqueous Cr(VI)
Yong Cai Zhang,Yong Cai Zhang,Long Yao,Geshan Zhang,Dionysios D. Dionysiou,Dionysios D. Dionysiou,Jing Li,Xihua Du +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple and cost-effective one-step hydrothermal method, which was based on the reactions of tin(IV) chloride pentahydrate and different dosages of thioacetamide in water at 190°C for 6h, was employed for the synthesis of composition-tunable SnS 2 /SnO 2 nanoheterojunctions.
Journal ArticleDOI
MOF-derived hollow heterostructures for advanced electrocatalysis
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive overview of compositional and structural properties of hollow heterostructure, which provides a large surface area, void spaces, and multiple interfaces for electrolytes/reactants impregnation, reduced diffusion lengths for mass transport, as well as structural strength for suppressing agglomeration, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon-quantum-dots-embedded MnO2 nanoflower as an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution in alkaline media
Lin Tian,Jiaojiao Wang,Kun Wang,Hengxuan Wo,Xiang Wang,Wenchang Zhuang,Tongxiang Li,Xihua Du +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a novel class of cost-efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER), employing carbon dots (CDs), is reported, benefiting from the successful incorporation of CDs into MnO2 nanoflowers, the resultant CDs-MnO2 with high surface areas, enhanced conductivity, as well as fast charge transfer pathways display not only greatly promoted EC activity but also high stability for OER.
