Reduced interfacial tension on ultrathin NiCr-LDH nanosheet arrays for efficient electrocatalytic water oxidation

TL;DR: In this paper, a facile two-step hydrothermal method for the synthesis of ultrathin atomic-vacancy-confined NiCr-layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosheet arrays (NiCr-LDH NSAs) is presented, which leads to superior surface hydrophilicity and an extremely exposed catalytic active surface for highly efficient water oxidation.

Dynamic CoRu Bond Shrinkage at Atomically Dispersed Ru Sites for Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution Reaction.

TL;DR: In this paper, a dynamic Co�Ru bond shrinkage with strong electron coupling effect under working conditions is identified, which significantly promotes the adsorption of water molecules and then accelerates its dissociation to form the key H* over Ru sites for high HER activity.
