miR-135 family members mediate podocyte injury through the activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.

TL;DR: This is the first study to demonstrate that members of the miR-135 family regulate the expression of GSK3β, thus playing a role in the development of podocyte injury and the disorder of the podocyte cytoskeleton.
Journal Article

Long noncoding RNAs and novel inflammatory genes determined by RNA sequencing in human lymphocytes are up-regulated in permanent atrial fibrillation.

TL;DR: In this article, RNA sequencing was applied to determine mRNA and long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) expression profiles in human lymphocytes from 6 permanent atrial fibrillation (pmAF) patients and 6 healthy controls.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fibroblast growth factor 21 enhances cholesterol efflux in THP‑1 macrophage‑derived foam cells

TL;DR: It is suggested that FGF21 may have a protective effect against atherosclerosis by enhancing cholesterol efflux through the induction of LXRα-dependent ABCA1 and ABCG1 expression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Plasma Long Noncoding RNA Urothelial Carcinoma Associated 1 Predicts Poor Prognosis in Chronic Heart Failure Patients

TL;DR: Plasma UCA1 might be an excellent indicator to diagnose CHF and it might predict poor outcomes of CHF, and there was no significant difference between these 2 markers in predicting the prognosis of CHFs.
