Organic-inorganic bismuth (III)-based material: A lead-free, air-stable and solution-processable light-absorber beyond organolead perovskites
Miaoqiang Lyu,Jung-Ho Yun,Molang Cai,Yalong Jiao,Paul V. Bernhardt,Meng Zhang,Qiong Wang,Aijun Du,Hongxia Wang,Gang Liu,Lianzhou Wang +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first demonstration of using this organic-inorganic bismuth-based material to replace lead/tin-based perovskite materials in solution-processable solar cells was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charge Mediated Semiconducting-to-Metallic Phase Transition in Molybdenum Disulfide Monolayer and Hydrogen Evolution Reaction in New 1T′ Phase
TL;DR: The phase transition of single layer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) from semiconducting 2H to metallic 1T and then to 1T′ phases, and the effect of the phase transition on hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are investigated within this work by density functional theory as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene-like Two-Dimensional Ionic Boron with Double Dirac Cones at Ambient Condition
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) ionic boron structure was predicted using ab initio evolutionary structure search, which consists of a graphene-like plane and B2 atom pairs with the P6/mmm space group and six atoms in the unit cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-fouling graphene-based membranes for effective water desalination.
Dong Han Seo,Shafique Pineda,Shafique Pineda,Yun Chul Woo,Ming Xie,Adrian T. Murdock,Elisa Y. M. Ang,Yalong Jiao,Myoung Jun Park,Sungil Lim,Malcolm Lawn,F.F. Borghi,F.F. Borghi,Zhao Jun Han,Stephen Gray,Graeme J. Millar,Aijun Du,Ho Kyong Shon,Teng Yong Ng,Kostya Ostrikov,Kostya Ostrikov,Kostya Ostrikov +21 more
TL;DR: Graphene films derived from renewable oil exhibit significantly superior retention of water vapour flux and salt rejection rates, and a superior antifouling capability under a mixture of saline water containing contaminants such as oils and surfactants, compared to commercial distillation membranes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-free graphitic carbon nitride as mechano-catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction
TL;DR: In this article, the binding free energy of hydrogen atom (ΔGH∗0) on graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is found to be very sensitive to mechanical strain.
