Journal ArticleDOI

New thiophene-1,2,4-triazole-5(3)-ones: highly bioactive thiosemicarbazides, structures of Schiff bases and triazole-thiols.

TL;DR: Thiosemicarbazide derivatives (4a-d) were highly active in two antioxidant tests with 69.0-88.2% DPPH· scavenging and 503-1257 μM TEAC values, while the others showed lower or no activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of new 1,2,4-triazole compounds containing Schiff and Mannich bases (morpholine) with antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.

TL;DR: Among the newly synthesized triazole derivatives, the Schiff base 4d and the Mannich base 5d carrying nitro substituent on the thiophene ring showed promising antibacterial and antifungal activity, with lower MIC values than the standard antibacterial ampicillin.
Journal ArticleDOI

1,2,4-triazole derivative with Schiff base; thiol-thione tautomerism, DFT study and antileishmanial activity

TL;DR: Theoretical study of thiol-thione tautomeric forms of 1,2,4-triazole derivative with Schiff base was performed by the density functional theory (DFT) method with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

An experimental and DFT computational study on 4-(3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl)-5-methyl-2H-1,2,4-triazol-3(4H)-one monohydrate

TL;DR: In this article, the triazole compound 4-(3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl)-5-methyl-2H-1,2,4-triazol 3(4H)-one monohydrate has been synthesized and characterised by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMRI, IR, and X-ray single-crystal determination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic and theoretical study of 1,2,4-triazole-3-one based salicylaldimine complexes and evaluation of superoxide-scavenging properties

TL;DR: In this article, five mononuclear metal complexes of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II, Cu(II) and Zn(II)) have been synthesized with a triazole-based Schiff base ligand, 4-{[(1E)-(2-hydroxyphenyl)methylene]amino}-5-(2-thienyl-methyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2-4-triazol-3-one.
