Nonlinear optical properties of halide perovskites and their applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have summarized the nonlinear optical properties of halide perovskites categorized according to the second-, third-, and high-order processes, including linear and circular photogalvanic effects, the high order shift current effect, and the multi-photon pumped photoluminescence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Core shell MoS2/C nanospheres embedded in foam-like carbon sheets composite with an interconnected macroporous structure as stable and high-capacity anodes for sodium ion batteries

TL;DR: In this paper, a core shell MoS2/C composite was successfully fabricated by a facile glucose carbonization process, where interconnected void nanospheres produced by SiO2 nanopsheres homogeneously surround the core shell.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogen Kinetics on Scalable Graphene Growth by Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition with Acetylene

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of hydrogen (H2) concentration on bilayer graphene growth have been studied by Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy, and the results demonstrate that H2 serves as an activator of the surface bound carbon for the bilayer graphite growth, while showing an etching effect that controls the morphology, nucleation density, and nucleation size of multilayer graphene domains.
Journal ArticleDOI

Band alignments and heterostructures of monolayer transition metal trichalcogenides MX3 (M = Zr, Hf; X = S, Se) and dichalcogenides MX2 (M = Tc, Re; X=S, Se) for solar applications

TL;DR: The result indicates that type II heterostructures formed of MX3 are more stable than those of MX2, and the characteristics of the band alignments and the planar-averaged local density of states show that ZrS 3, HfS3, TcSe2 and ReS2 could be favorable candidates for photocatalytic water splitting.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphene as broadband terahertz antireflection coating

TL;DR: In this article, the potential of stacked multilayer graphene as broadband terahertz (THz) antireflection coating based on the impedance matching effect in experiment and theory was examined.
