Brillouin scattering in sodium nitrite
TL;DR: In this paper, the Brillouin scattering spectra in NaNO2 have been studied using a Fabry-Perot interferometer and the elastic stiffness constant C22D showed an anomalous decrease both at the Curie and at the Neel temperatures.
Journal Article
Experimental studies on phase ntransitions in an antiferroelectric liquid crystal
H. Orihama,Takayuki Fujikawa,Yoshihiro Ishibashi,Yuichiro Yamada,Norio Yamamoto,Mori Kaoru,Kohji Nakamura,Yoshiichi Suzuki,Takashi Hagiwara,Ichiro Kawamura +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of optical purity on the antiferroelectric phase transition and the field-induced ferromagnetic phase transition in Sm C A * was studied by means of dielectric measurements and observations of D-E hysteresis loops.
Journal Article
Exact Expressions for Some Dielectric Properties of Ferroelectric Thin Films Based on the Tilley-Zeks Model(Condensed matter : electronic structure and electrical, magnetic, and optical properties)
Yoshihiro Ishibashi,Makoto Iwata +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Lattice Vibrations in Finite Discrete Systems with Symmetric and Asymmetric Boundary Conditions
Makoto Iwata,Yoshihiro Ishibashi +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the lattice vibrations in finite discrete systems with symmetric and asymmetric boundary conditions are studied based on the Tilley-Zeks model, and two methods are adopted, i.e., one is the method utilizing analytical functions, and the other is a method of numerical solutions of an eigenvalue problem of the dynamical matrix form.
Journal ArticleDOI
Eight-Pseudospin Model of KH2PO4-Type Crystals: II. Phase Transitions and Dielectric Susceptibilities
TL;DR: In this paper, the phase transitions in antiferroelectric NH 4 H 2 PO 4 (ADP) and ferroelectric KDP (KDP) are discussed on the basis of the eight-pseudospin model of KDP-type crystals.
