Multicritical Points in the Applied Field vs Temperature Phase Diagrams of Antiferroelectric Transitions

TL;DR: In this article, a model free energy of antiferroelectric phase transitions, written in terms of two parameters, i.e., the total and the staggered polarizations, is analyzed to find the tricritical and tetracritical points in the electric field-temperature phase diagrams.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements of Elastic Constants in Cd 3 Mg and Cd 2 Mg

TL;DR: In this paper, the elastic constants in Cd 3 Mg and Cd 2 Mg were measured at room temperature by using ultrasonic technique and the temperature dependences of c 11 and c 33 were also measured in the ordered phase as well as in the disordered phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural Phase Transition and Symmetry of Parent Phase in Bi4Ti3O12

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the domain wall structure in the high-temperature phase and discuss its symmetry on the basis of the group theory, and they concluded that the space group of BTO at room temperature is B2cb ð1⁄4 Aba2 1⁄ 4 C2cbÞ (Z 1¼4 4) with monoclinic symmetry.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Sublattice Model of Appearance of an Incommensurate Phase Sandwiched by Reentrant Commensurate Phases

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-sublattice model is presented for reproducing the normal (N)-commensurate(C)-incommensure(IC)-comensurate (C) phase sequence phenomenologically.
