Noble metal-free hydrogen evolution catalysts for water splitting

TL;DR: This review highlights the recent research efforts toward the synthesis of noble metal-free electrocatalysts, especially at the nanoscale, and their catalytic properties for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and summarizes some important examples showing that non-Pt HER electrocatsalysts could serve as efficient cocatalysts for promoting direct solar-to-hydrogen conversion in both photochemical and photoelectrochemical water splitting systems, when combined with suitable semiconductor photocatalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical Reduction of N2 under Ambient Conditions for Artificial N2 Fixation and Renewable Energy Storage Using N2/NH3 Cycle

TL;DR: Using tetrahexahedral gold nanorods as a heterogeneous electrocatalyst, an electrocatalytic N2 reduction reaction was shown to be possible at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, with a high Faradic efficiency up to 4.02% at -0.2 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient and Stable White LEDs with Silica-Coated Inorganic Perovskite Quantum Dots

TL;DR: A white light-emitting diode (0.33, 0.33) is fabricated using perovskite quantum dot/silica composites and is shown to have greatly improved stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancing the Brightness of Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal Based Green Light-Emitting Devices through the Interface Engineering with Perfluorinated Ionomer

TL;DR: By introducing a thin film of perfluorinated ionomer (PFI) sandwiched between the hole transporting layer and perovskite emissive layer, the device hole injection efficiency has been significantly enhanced and the three-fold increase in peak brightness reaching 1377 cd m(-2).
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined measurements of Higgs boson production and decay using up to 80 fb− 1 of proton-proton collision data at √s=13 TeV collected with the ATLAS experiment
