Journal ArticleDOI
Bandgap tunability at single-layer molybdenum disulphide grain boundaries.
Yuli Huang,Yifeng Chen,Wenjing Zhang,Su Ying Quek,Chang-Hsiao Chen,Lain-Jong Li,Wei Ting Hsu,Wen-Hao Chang,Yujie Zheng,Wei Chen,Andrew Ts Wee +10 more
TL;DR: An unexpected bandgap tunability with distance from the grain boundary in single-layer molybdenum disulphide is reported, which also depends on the grain misorientation angle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Machine learning-assisted molecular design and efficiency prediction for high-performance organic photovoltaic materials.
Wenbo Sun,Yujie Zheng,Ke Yang,Qi Zhang,Akeel A. Shah,Zhou Wu,Yuyang Sun,Liang Feng,Dongyang Chen,Zeyun Xiao,Shirong Lu,Yong Li,Kuan Sun +12 more
TL;DR: This work establishes a database containing over 1700 donor materials and explores several expressions for molecule structures, i.e., images, ASCII strings, descriptors, and fingerprints, as inputs for various ML algorithms, which indicate that ML is a powerful tool to prescreen new OPV materials, thus accelerating the development of the OPV field.
Journal ArticleDOI
The organic-2D transition metal dichalcogenide heterointerface.
Yuli Huang,Yuli Huang,Yujie Zheng,Zhibo Song,Zhibo Song,Dongzhi Chi,Andrew Ts Wee,Su Ying Quek +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors review the organic-2D TMD interface from both chemical and physical perspectives, focusing on surface charge transfer and electronic screening effects, and conclude with an outlook on future scientific and device developments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence of Spin Frustration in a Vanadium Diselenide Monolayer Magnet.
Ping Kwan Johnny Wong,Wen Zhang,Fabio Bussolotti,Xinmao Yin,Tun Seng Herng,Lei Zhang,Yuli Huang,Giovanni Vinai,Sridevi Krishnamurthi,Danil W. Bukhvalov,Danil W. Bukhvalov,Yujie Zheng,Rebekah Chua,Alpha T. N'Diaye,Simon A. Wee +26 more
TL;DR: The results of this study extend the current understanding of metallic 2D-TMDs in the search for exotic low-dimensional quantum phenomena, and stimulate further theoretical and experimental studies on van der Waals monolayer magnets.
Journal ArticleDOI
Point Defects and Localized Excitons in 2D WSe2.
Yujie Zheng,Yifeng Chen,Yuli Huang,Yuli Huang,Pranjal Kumar Gogoi,Ming-Yang Li,Lain-Jong Li,Paolo E. Trevisanutto,Qixing Wang,Stephen J. Pennycook,Andrew T. S. Wee,Su Ying Quek +11 more
TL;DR: It is shown using first-principles calculations, scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), and scanning transmission electron microscopy experiments that W vacancies are not present in the authors' CVD-grown 2D WSe2, and it is predicted that only Oins defects give localized excitons within the energy range of SPE in previous experiments, making them a likely source of previously observed SPE.
