Journal ArticleDOI
A magnetic protein biocompass
Siying Qin,Hang Yin,Celi Yang,Yunfeng Dou,Zhongmin Liu,Peng Zhang,He Yu,Yulong Huang,Jing Feng,Junfeng Hao,Jia Hao,Lizong Deng,Xiyun Yan,Xiaoli Dong,Zhongxian Zhao,Taijiao Jiang,Hong-Wei Wang,Shu-Jin Luo,Can Xie +18 more
TL;DR: A putative magnetic receptor and a multimeric magnetosensing rod-like protein complex, identified by theoretical postulation and genome-wide screening, and validated with cellular, biochemical, structural and biophysical methods, may form the basis of magnetoreception in animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robust and Clean Majorana Zero Mode in the Vortex Core of High-Temperature Superconductor ( Li 0.84 Fe 0.16 ) OHFeSe
Qin Liu,Chen Chen,Tong Zhang,Rui Peng,Yajun Yan,C. H. P. Wen,Xia Lou,Yulong Huang,Jinpeng Tian,Xiaoli Dong,Guangwei Wang,Wei-Cheng Bao,Wei-Cheng Bao,Qiang-Hua Wang,Zhiping Yin,Zhongxian Zhao,Donglai Feng +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that Majorana zero modes (quasiparticles with potential quantum computing applications) can persist in topological superconductors, despite previous difficulties in doing so.
Journal ArticleDOI
Common electronic origin of superconductivity in (Li,Fe)OHFeSe bulk superconductor and single-layer FeSe/SrTiO 3 films
Lin Zhao,Aiji Liang,Dongna Yuan,Yong Hu,Defa Liu,Jianwei Huang,Shaolong He,Bing Shen,Yu Xu,Xu Liu,Li Yu,Guodong Liu,Huaxue Zhou,Yulong Huang,Xiaoli Dong,Fang Zhou,Kai Liu,Zhong-Yi Lu,Zhongxian Zhao,Chuangtian Chen,Zuyan Xu,Xingjiang Zhou +21 more
TL;DR: It is found that this single-phase bulk superconductor shows remarkably similar electronic behaviours to that of the superconducting single-layer FeSe/SrTiO3 films in terms of Fermi surface topology, band structure and the gap symmetry.
Journal ArticleDOI
( Li 0.84 Fe 0.16 ) OHFe 0.98 Se superconductor: Ion-exchange synthesis of large single-crystal and highly two-dimensional electron properties
Xiaoli Dong,Kui Jin,Dongna Yuan,Huaxue Zhou,Jie Yuan,Yulong Huang,Wei Hua,Junliang Sun,P. Zheng,Wei Hu,Yiyuan Mao,Mingwei Ma,Guang-Ming Zhang,Fang Zhou,Zhongxian Zhao +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the superconducting transition temperature (T-c) of 42 K was determined by magnetic susceptibility and electric resistivity measurements, and the zero-temperature upper critical magnetic fields were evaluated as 79 and 313 T for the field along the c axis and the ab plane, respectively.

Robust and clean Majorana zero mode in the vortex core of high-temperature superconductor (Li0.84Fe0.16)OHFeSe
Q. Liu,C. Chen,Tong Zhang,Rui Peng,Yajun Yan,C. H. P. Wen,X. Lou,Yulong Huang,Jinpeng Tian,Xiaoli Dong,Guangwei Wang,W. C. Bao,Qiang-Hua Wang,Zhiping Yin,Zhongxian Zhao,Donglai Feng +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that a zero-bias conductance peak (ZBCP) exists ubiquitously in the cores of free vortices in the defect free regions of (Li0.84Fe0.16)OHFeSe, which has a superconducting transition temperature of 42 K.
