Mini-Review on Char Catalysts for Tar Reforming during Biomass Gasification: The Importance of Char Structure
Deliang Xu,Liu Yang,Ding Kuan,Yuming Zhang,Gao Wenran,Yong Huang,Hongqi Sun,Xun Hu,Syed Shatir A. Syed-Hassan,Zhang Shu,Zhang Shu,Hong Zhang +11 more
TL;DR: With the depletion of fossil fuel reserves and the increasing concern about greenhouse gas emission, the need to develop technologies for using renewable and sustainable energy resources is becomin... as discussed by the authors, and the need for developing technologies for use renewable energy resources for using sustainable and sustainable energies is becoming more urgent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reactivity and kinetics for steam gasification of petroleum coke blended with black liquor in a micro fluidized bed
TL;DR: In this article, the shrinking core model (SCM) and homogenous model (HM) were used to calculate the kinetics of petroleum coke gasification, finding that SCM enabled the better correlation with experimental data than HM did.
Journal ArticleDOI
The catalytic reforming of tar from pyrolysis and gasification of brown coal: Effects of parental carbon materials on the performance of char catalysts
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of char structure on the reforming of tar derived from the gasification and pyrolysis of Shengli brown coal were investigated, and the results showed that the chars from biomass and low rank coals featured obviously higher catalytic activity than those from high rank fuels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lignite upgrading by multi-stage fluidized bed pyrolysis
TL;DR: In this paper, a Chinese lignite was pyrolyzed and partially gasified in a three-stage laboratory-scale fluidized bed, with an overflow standpipe between its neighboring stages.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secondary Cracking and Upgrading of Shale Oil from Pyrolyzing Oil Shale over Shale Ash
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of shale ash, as the bed material for secondary reactions of pyrolysis volatile, on final product distribution and quality of oil shale pyrotechnics in a laboratory dual-stage fixed bed reactor.
