Review of two-dimensional materials for photocatalytic water splitting from a theoretical perspective
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarize the recent developments in the field of water splitting using 2D materials from a theoretical perspective, and address that DFT-based simulations can fast screen the potential spaces of photocatalytic properties with the accuracy comparable to experiments, by investigating the effects of various physical/chemical perturbations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-layer MoS2 as an efficient photocatalyst
Yunguo Li,Yunguo Li,Yan-Ling Li,Yan-Ling Li,Carlos Moyses Araujo,Wei Luo,Rajeev Ahuja,Rajeev Ahuja +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the potential application of the single-layer MoS2 as a photocatalyst was revealed based on first-principles calculations, and it was found that the pristine single layer is a good candidate for hydrogen production, and its catalysing ability can be tuned by the applied mechanical strain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Smoothing the energy transfer pathway in quasi-2D perovskite films using methanesulfonate leads to highly efficient light-emitting devices.
Lingmei Kong,Xiaoyu Zhang,Yunguo Li,Haoran Wang,Yuanzhi Jiang,Sheng Wang,Mengqing You,Chengxi Zhang,Ting Zhang,Stephen V. Kershaw,Weitao Zheng,Yingguo Yang,Qianqian Lin,Mingjian Yuan,Andrey L. Rogach,Xuyong Yang +15 more
TL;DR: Methanesulfonate (MeS) is made use that can interact with the spacer BA cations via strong hydrogen bonding interaction to reconstruct the quasi-2D perovskite structure, which increases the energy acceptor-to-donor ratio and enhances the energy transfer in perovkite films, thus improving the light emission efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-layer MoS2 as efficient photocatalyst
TL;DR: The potential application of the single-layer MoS2 as photocatalyst was revealed in this article based on first-principles calculations, and it was found that the pristine single layer MOS2 is a good candidate for photocat catalyst, and its catalyzing ability can be tuned by the applied mechanical strain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative comparison of three Ni-containing phases to the elevated-temperature properties of Al-Si piston alloys
TL;DR: In this article, four kinds of Al-Si alloy containing different Ni-containing phases were prepared and their UTS values were obtained by the analysis of multicomponent phase diagrams and ImageJ software.
