Journal ArticleDOI

A discrete semi-Markov decision model to determine the optimal repair/replacement policy under general repairs

TL;DR: In this paper, it is assumed that repairs can, at most, shift back the failure intensity so as to remove the most recent run-time sojourn.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis on queueing systems with synchronous vacations of partial servers

TL;DR: The multi-server vacation queueing system has been analyzed as a quasi-birth and death process and the stationary distributions of queue length and waiting time are obtained and the conditional stochastic decomposition property of the queue lengthand waiting time is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The future natural gas consumption in China: Based on the LMDI-STIRPAT-PLSR framework and scenario analysis

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the relationship between the natural gas consumption and influencing factors in a comprehensive LMDI-STIRPAT-PLSR framework and found that fossil energy structure and non-clean energy structure are the most important factors followed by urbanization, per capita GDP, industrialization, and industrial energy intensity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of the M/G/1 queue with exponentially working vacations--a matrix analytic approach

TL;DR: This queueing system is modeled as a two-dimensional embedded Markov chain which has an M/G/1-type transition probability matrix and derives a conditional stochastic decomposition result based on the classical vacation decomposition in the M/ G/1 queue.
