Growth of high quality and large-sized Rb0.3MoO3 single crystals by molten salt electrolysis method

TL;DR: In this article, a large-scale Rb0.3MoO3 crystal was synthesized using the molten salt electrolysis method and the lattice constants were evaluated from X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and rocking curves.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acoustic surface-guided modes in phononic crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the formation and properties of acoustic surface-guided modes at the interface of two phononic crystals (PCs) and demonstrated that in the shared region of the frequency gaps, the SGMs can exist at the interfaces as a result of total reflections from both PCs, which causes the formation of nodal planes by the interference of the forward and backward propagation waves.
Journal ArticleDOI

Realization of acoustic omnidirectional radiation with annular anisotropic zero-density metamaterial

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the fabrication of an annular anisotropic metamaterial with an azimuthal effective density approaching zero and demonstrate its robust omnidirectional radiation performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical properties of a new electrorheological fluid

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extended the Rayleigh identity based on a multipole expansion theory to analyze the mechanical properties of a new type of electrorheological (ER) system that consists of a doubly coated particle in silicone oil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intrinsic anisotropy of the effective acoustic properties in metafluids made of two-dimensional cylinder arrays

TL;DR: In this article, the omnidirectional effective acoustic parameters for the metafluid consisting of isotropic fluid cylinders embedded in an anisotropic fluid background were derived within a unified theoretical framework, and a simple expression for the effective mass density parallel to the cylinders was derived.
