TL;DR: An overview of the invasion history and ecology of H. axyridis globally with consideration of future research perspectives is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of agricultural intensification on ability of natural enemies to control aphids
TL;DR: Sustainable pest management needs to balance the benefit and cost of agricultural intensification and restore biocontrol service through proliferating the role of natural enemies at multiple scales by analyzing the relative importance of nitrogen input and cropland expansion on cereal aphids and their natural enemies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laboratory and field efficacy of entomopathogenic fungi for the management of the sweetpotato weevil, Cylas formicarius (Coleoptera: Brentidae)
TL;DR: This combined fungal formulation appears to be appropriate for the practical control of C. formicarius on sweet potatoes, with the treatment with B. bassiana+M.
Journal ArticleDOI

Smyth,Tove Steenberg,Paul S. van Wielink,Sandra Viglášová,Zihua Zhao,Piotr Ceryngier,Helen E. Roy +24 more
TL;DR: This study presents a review of the parasites of H. axyridis, discussing their distributions and effects on host populations across the host’s native and invasive range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Population structure of a global agricultural invasive pest, Bactrocera dorsalis (Diptera: Tephritidae).
Yujia Qin,Matt N. Krosch,Mark K. Schutze,Yue Zhang,Xiaoxue Wang,Chandra S. Prabhakar,Chandra S. Prabhakar,Agus Susanto,Alvin Kah-Wei Hee,Sunday Ekesi,Kemo Badji,Mahfuza Khan,Jiajiao Wu,Qiao‐ling Wang,Ge Yan,Li‐huan Zhu,Zihua Zhao,Lijun Liu,Anthony R. Clarke,Zhihong Li +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the genetic structure of Bactrocera dorsalis across its entire geographic range has never been undertaken, because under a former taxonomy B.dorsalis was divided into four distinct taxonomic entities, each with their own, largely non-overlapping, distributions.
