Journal ArticleDOI

High-quality chromosome-level genome assembly and full-length transcriptome analysis of the pharaoh ant Monomorium pharaonis.

TL;DR: This work de novo assembled a chromosome-level genome for Monomorium pharaonis and generated a highly accurate annotation for this ant species, which significantly improved previous short-read assemblies.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Antivirulence Activity of Umbelliferone and Its Protective Effect against A. hydrophila-Infected Grass Carp

TL;DR: Animal studies demonstrated that umbelliferone could significantly improve the survival of grass carps infected with A. hydrophila, reduce the bacterial load in the various tissues, and ameliorate cardiac, splenic, and hepatopancreas injury.
Journal ArticleDOI

Signatures of Crested Ibis MHC Revealed by Recombination Screening and Short-Reads Assembly Strategy.

TL;DR: This study constructed a high quality 488-kb region of crested ibis MHC that consists of 3 superscaffolds and contains 50 genes and showed comparable quality to traditional Sanger assembly, while the workload was reduced almost 7 times.
