TL;DR: The tools for e-learning are very divers and must be known of the educators for using them in a proper way in a teaching and learning process, student-centred, for having at the end a real transformative learning process.
Abstract: The impact of IT in real life is translated/moved also in education by “e-learning” that means the use of multimedia technologies and Internet or using the virtual learning environment. The tools for e-learning are very divers and must be known of the educators for using them in a proper way in a teaching and learning process, student-centred, for having at the end a real transformative learning process.

TL;DR: In this paper, a stability analysis approach for a class of fuzzy controlled SISO nonlinear time-varying systems is proposed, where the stability analysis is done in the sense of Lyapunov resulting in sufficient uniform asymptotic stability conditions for the design of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic controllers.
Abstract: A stability analysis approach a class of fuzzy controlled Single Input-Single Output nonlinear time-varying systems is proposed in the paper. The stability analysis is done in the sense of Lyapunov resulting in sufficient uniform asymptotic stability conditions to be used in the design of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs). Use is made of quadratic positive definite Lyapunov function candidates. An illustrative example validates the stability analysis approach by the designing of the FLC to control a nonlinear plant.

TL;DR: The authors presents the pedagogic personality of John Dewey, who is the first great pedagogue after Comenius, and who changed both a vision and a mentality about the meaning of institutionalized education.
Abstract: As revealed by the title, the study presents the pedagogic personality of John Dewey, who – in the author`s opinion – is the first great pedagogue after Comenius, and who changes both a vision and a mentality about the meaning of institutionalized education. The pragmatic character of J. Dewey`s pedagogic paradigm has brought restructuring in the American and European educational systems. Thus, they have switched from a mainly intellectualized (and theoretical) character to revaluing its applicative and practical aspects.

TL;DR: This chapter describes in detail support vector regression models, which are based on an optimization problem and the weights corresponding to each input sample in a training set are obtained.
Abstract: A vast majority of practically utilized machine methods in fact involve supervised learning techniques. In supervised learning, an algorithm is used to learn an approximate mapping function from the input variable x to the output y = f ( x ) so that when there is new input data, we can predict the output for that data. Support vector regression, which is derived from its parent version, is based on an optimization problem. The weights corresponding to each input sample in a training set are obtained. Variants such as least square support vector regression, twin support vector regression, and e-twin support vector regression are presented with a case study for each. In this chapter, such regression models are described in detail.

TL;DR: This paper presents a novel 3D face recognition method developed by means of erosion of a contractible topological space involved in the quantification of facial palsy using pre-marked points.
Abstract: This paper presents a novel 3D face recognition method developed by means of erosion of a contractible topological space. The procedure was is involved in the quantification of facial palsy using pre-marked points. The recognition is done in two steps: in the first step a detection of the pre-marked mimic points on a human face is performed and in the second step the mutual distances between points are calculated. A procedure of deducing the mobility or the immobility of points and the amplitude of mimic points movement follows.
