TL;DR: In this article, a phyto synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) were integrated into thin film electrode by physical vapor deposition (PVD) and were subjected to cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear scan voltammetric (LSV).
Abstract: Sustainable fabrication of efficient electrode is highly demandable in the present time particularly for supercapacitors. In the present work, we have functionalized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) using foliar constituents for the first time. Leaves aqueous extract of Euphorbia cognata Boiss was used as organic fuel to synthesize ZnO-NPs. The leaves extract was reacted with zinc acetate (Zn(O2CCH3)2 (H2O)2) hydro complex to obtain phyto-organic functional groups, and subsequent formation of ZnO-NPs was accomplished by thermal treatment. The X rays diffractions and energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy identified pure ZnO phase while field emission scanning electron microscopy showed spherical ZnO-NPs with particle size range of 40–65 nm. The phyto synthesized ZnO-NPs revealed direct band gap value of 3 eV via Tauc plot. The biosynthesized ZnO-NPs were, for the first time, integrated into thin film electrode by physical vapor deposition (PVD) and were subjected to cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear scan voltammetry (LSV). The fabricated ZnO thin film (ZnO-TFs) electrode exhibited the capacitance of 336.12 Fg−1 at 10 mVs−1 by CV. However, pseudocapacitive behavior was well demonstrated by LSV and CV at different scan rates. The EIS analysis illustrated very minor semi-circle arc with lower Rct and Warburg impedance by Nyquist plot indicating good electrochemical conductivity of ZnO-TFs. Overall, the results of the current study revealed that phyto-synthesized ZnO has a considerable potential for supercapacitor.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study aimed at discovering and quantifying the relationship between organizational culture and effective socialization of beginning English teachers in Pakistan is presented, where the authors identified many socialization challenges to beginning teachers related to organizational culture including weak relationship among teachers, concerns for equal treatment, unsupported administrative milieu, shaky selfperception, insufficient academic resources and ineffective role of staffroom.
Abstract: English language teaching in Pakistan is one of the major areas in the current educational reforms with the special focus on professional socialization of English teachers. This study aims at discovering and quantifying the relationship between organizational culture and effective socialization of beginning English teachers. Organizational culture has been identified with the considerations of equal & fair treatment with the beginning teachers, well-defined policies, self-recognition, academic facilities, teachers’ interaction and individual and organizational expectations. The required data was collected through survey method techniques, selecting a sample from the colleges located in Punjab province and Islamabad and getting questionnaires filled. The data, collected from 295 respondents, was analyzed and testified with statistical description. The results rejected the null hypothesis of no relationship between effective socialization and organizational culture. The results identified many socialization challenges to beginning teachers related to organizational culture including within weak relationship among teachers, concerns for equal treatment, unsupported administrative milieu, shaky self-perception, insufficient academic resources and ineffective role of staffroom. Finally it is suggested that organizational culture of Pakistani colleges may be made more conducive by training beginning teachers in conformity with the organizational objectives and professional requirements, bringing down the rate of conflicts and errors and above all enhancing the positive role of the principals who should create a productive environment with the help of a young team of enthusiastic beginning teachers.

30 Mar 2021TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the phenomenological reflections on the everyday life of madrasah students to comprehend their life-worlds in the context of growing media technology in Pakistan and how religious personalities on media influence the lifeworlds of students.
Abstract: The present research explores the phenomenological reflections on the everyday life of madrasah students to comprehend their life-worlds in the context of growing media technology in Pakistan and how religious personalities on media influence the lifeworlds of madrasah students? This ethnographic research was conducted in Ahl-e-Hadith Madrasah, located in Rawalpindi. The research design employed participant observation (PO) and in-depth interviews of madrasah students and teachers belonging to diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds. The findings suggest that the teachings and principles of the Ahl-e-Hadith sect taught in madrasah profoundly influence the life-worlds of female madrasah students. The major areas of students' life-worlds that are influenced by madrasah discourses include sectarian associations, selection of spouse, dressing patterns, media aesthetics, the configuration of entertainment, and the influence of ulemas on students' everyday life.

TL;DR: In this paper, the ternary metal oxides nanocomposite of zinc, cobalt, and molybdenum was synthesized by green, economic and simple sol-gel synthesis route using the extracted fuel of E cognata and the precursors salts.
Abstract: Supercapacitors are the highly investigated energy storage devices to solve the global energy storage problems. The metal oxide nanomaterials as electrode-active materials yield the desirable specific capacitance. However, the higher economic and environmental costs associated with the synthesis of nanomaterials limit their extensive implication in supercapacitors. In this work, the ternary metal oxides nanocomposite of zinc, cobalt, and molybdenum was synthesized by green, economic and simple sol–gel synthesis route using the extracted fuel of E. cognata and the precursors salts. The as-synthesized ZnO–CoMoO4 nanocomposite was investigated as supercapacitor electrode candidate. A notable capacitance of 294.7 F/g was obtained for ZnO–CoMoO4 electrode. The specific energy density of ~ 8 Wh/Kg was found from charge–discharge measurements. The ZnO–CoMoO4 nanocomposite displayed almost 100% Coulombic efficiency over 10,000 cycles of repeated charge–discharge testing indicating its excellent stability. The lower Ri of 0.8 Ω was observed in the current study demonstrating the lower resistance. Consequently, the nano-scaled and phyto-fueled ternary composites of ZnO–CoMoO4 exhibited enhanced electrochemical properties toward supercapacitor without stability.

TL;DR: Results revealed that lead drastically reduce the seed germination and seedling growth of all three verities of Mash, while bacterial inoculations improved germination, growth parameters of Mash varieties and genetic variation of both plant variety and bacterial strain is important in developing a successful remedial mechanism.
Abstract: Three lead resistant bacteria Bacillus pumilus (TE07), Bacillus cerus (TE12 & TE14), were examined for their plant growth promotion /remediation potential. Their ability to promote early growth and their effects on metal uptake by three varieties of Vigna mungo L. (Hepper) i.e., NARC-Mash-2, NARC-Mash-3 and NARC-Mash-97 was screened out under different concentration (0, 1, 2, 5, and 10Mm) of lead. Different growth parameters (seed germination, seedling root and shoot length, seedling fresh and dry biomass, dry matter accumulation per seedling) and accumulation of lead by inoculated and non inoculated seedlings were observed and recorded. Results revealed that lead drastically reduce the seed germination and seedling growth of all three verities of Mash, while bacterial inoculations improved germination and various growth parameters of Mash varieties. All bacteria for variety NARC-Mash-3 and strain TE-12 for Variety NARC-Mash-2 had a positive relationship to combat lead stress by improving the seedling growth. Study also revealed that genetic variation of both plant variety and bacterial strain is important in developing a successful remedial mechanism.
