TL;DR: In this article, the hydrodynamic behavior of the quenchant around a flat-end cylindrical probe was studied to explain the anomalies observed when quenching this type of probe in a fluid moving at relatively high velocities.
Abstract: The hydrodynamic behavior of the quenchant around a flat-end cylindrical probe was studied to explain the anomalies observed when quenching this type of probe in a fluid moving at relatively high velocities Both, physical and mathematical models were developed and compared with the observations made during the actual quenches which were conducted with water at 60°C flowing at 02, 04 and 06 m/s The computed streamlines compared favorably with the measured ones which validated the mathematical model The computed pressure field shows a significant gradient near the probe corner which produces backflow and an area of negative pressure which favors the occurrence of a localized thicker vapor blanket Thus, the use of the flat-end cylindrical probe for wetting kinematics studies is not recommended

Abstract: This paper presents the analysis of electrical energy consumption of 76 high school buildings in the state of Michoacan, through linear regression analysis, energy audits and benchmarks. The energy consumption is compared for each campus, obtaining a breakdown of consumption per student, m2 and turnover. Also, energy efficiency and savings opportunities that improve the energy performance of these high schools are analyzed.

TL;DR: In this article, a phase-domain frequency domain technique is proposed for the harmonic analysis of a three-phase AC/DC system based on the harmonic multi-port network concept, expressed in terms of an ABCD parameter matrix which links voltage and current harmonics of different orders on both sides of the converter.
