Abstract: This paper treats over a reforming process using a warm plasma reactor for CH4 and CO2 conversion and hydrogen yield recovering. The conversion of hydrocarbon in syngas is mainly contributed by dissociation and ionization processes. Warm plasma is environment-friendly and autosustainable process; in addition, the electric discharge has low specific energy (SE) requirement and is able to retain enough high temperature to produce excited species and support subsequent chemical reactions. Such plasma discharges have significant advantages: do not require extra cooling systems, since they work with reduced electric current and high voltages, decreasing significantly electrode erosion. Consequently, reactors can be accomplished with a simpler framework and high gas treatment capacity. Plasma interaction with greenhouse gases (GHGs) leads into a molecular dissociation, mainly forming CO and H2, also known as syngas. In recent years, the syngas has become one of the alternative energy sources, which is more profitable and investigated. This mixture, normally recovered from organic material decomposition, provides energy with innovative applications in microturbines and fuel cells, in conjunction with other applications. In addition, an experimental analysis by using pulsed or resonant converter power supply is conducted; this converter enables the maximum energy transfer into plasma discharge without requiring complex electronic structures. Electric analysis was performed to determine instantaneous current, voltage, and power applied in the warm plasma torch for GHG treatment. From the analysis of power consumption, flux flow rate, and other physical chemical characteristics, SE and energy conversion efficiency are obtained. The effect of frequency in voltage–current relationship, depending on the waveform source, is described here. The input and exhaust gases were analyzed by a mass spectrometer and a gas analyzer. A comparison of these results with other results obtained in different bibliographic references is also signaled.

Abstract: Users and organizations seek to obtain from an operating system integrity, confidentiality, and availability in both hardware and software resources. These characteristics must come coupled with easy handling and administration. An operating system designed under the criteria of the class A1, consists of a collection of security strengthening mechanisms for the kernel. SELinux is an example of this type of operating system that supports several types of security policies applied to access control. In this article we address the problem of inconsistency in SELinux policies, which is present in distributed environments. To solve this problem, we propose an architecture that integrates a policy server for enabling a simple and secure administration. The policy server collects, integrates, and updates all policies that are applied in the distributed environment. We aim to achieve authenticity, integrity and confidentiality in the policy update process through the Kerberos V protocol. We propose a redundant policy server. We do not assure that the proposed architecture is bug free; it is impossible to guarantee a completely secure system. Nonetheless, we consider it a viable solution for centralized management of SELinux policies.

Abstract: An approach to the completely quantized description of nonlinear dynamic systems with chaos is considered. The method bases on the correspondence between operators and their symbols in a phase-space representation. Heisenberg equations in a wide class of phase-space representations are obtained. Nonlinear oscillations of the coupled quasiparticles-oscillator system are analyzed in the completely quantized description in terms of symbols of operators in the Wigner representation. The asymptotic solutions of the Heisenberg equations for the symbols Q t , P t , etc. are obtained for a stable region of the phase-space, and the respective quantum observables are calculated.

Abstract: We describe some application conditions to guarantee robust stability of electronic circuits represented by a linear time invariant system with parametric uncertainty. An interval matrix is used to give the parametric uncertainty. The principal motivation of this work is given by the existence of dynamic systems with parametric uncertainty in its models. In this work we make robustness analysis using the tests given in Delgado-Romero (1994, 1995, 1996). We know the stability of a continuous linear time invariant systems is given only by matrix A; if the system contains parametric uncertainty, then A can be an interval matrix A= [L, U].
